Re: Moode Audio support?

Can't say what goes wrong here. I had to re-install Moode a couple of times whilst trying to make this work. I ended up doing a step from the Volumio tutorial and when everything still worked after that I made an image of the system before continuing on the next step. That way I could tell where i ...

Re: Moode Audio support?

@ArjenA So now all this channel swap is over and clear I am back to trying your steps for power button. Unfortunately it does not seems to work. Somewhere in the line something broke and the whole system is unresponsive. I mean it does boot, I can access webgui etc but not all. Looks like the MPD is...

Re: Moode Audio support?

After thoroughly investigating the whole chain from DAC to speakers I now know the print on the pcb is wrong. However, on my DAC the red ring is already switched with the black one so I think the people at Audiophonics knew about this and swapped rings before sending mine off. So in my case the col...

Re: Moode Audio support?

Hello, It's right, we fell very sorry about that. There is inversion between DAC output and RCA output. So as soon we noticed that, we changed the place where RCA are soldered. There is no sound effect because it's really RCA traces that are switched. It could be fixed by reversing the LRCK ...

Re: Moode Audio support?

Just tested. The red output is left, the black is right. So it appears your findings are correct. Weird. Of course, simply switching the interconnects will resolve the problem, but still... Turns out mine were plugged in wrong in the amplifier (plugged them in blind by feeling where the inputs are,...

Re: Moode Audio support?

I have no idea what else to try?...I have flashed 3 different systems and all have same issue. Channels are swapped over I-Sabre DAC V3. Same audio files played over HDMI on those systems are OK. Could this be some weird HW fault of the DAC? I cant think it was like this from day one and nobody noti...

Re: Moode Audio support?

I have done another test where I have connected HDMI cable out of the RPi with RuneAudio or MoodeAudio and the sound is good.
Channels are swapped only when I2S and sound going out over I-Sabre DAC

Re: Moode Audio support?

I'm on version 2.6 2016-06-07 It works and so far I have not seen anything I miss in the newer version (I don't listen to radio stations). What version do you have the problems with? 2.6, 2016-06-07 so same as yours. Are you sure the sound is OK on yours? There is an audio sample on card preloaded ...

Re: Moode Audio support?

just trying to make this latest version working but no luck so far.
The main issue is L/R channel swap...no idea if there is any fix. It would be kernel related I believe.
Trouble is that MoodeAudio has no dedicated forum and the dev using other sites for this purpose

Re: Moode Audio support?

Same for me. Please note that as of version 2.6 Moode has an update system implemented. This probably means that any addition done to the original will be void after an update. So I think it is a good idea to include instructions on how to install all scripts manually. thanks for info on this. I us...

Re: Moode Audio support?

Would be great if someone can make this working as there are many reports that Moode has much better SQ than Volumio or RuneAudio.

I have tested this distro myself with this DAC and I can confirm that the sound is better

Hi Rikardo, Moodeaudio lead dev has already been contacted about that with unfortunatly no real answer yet ... thats the problem. I have tried this like month ago.
